Oven Fries, Spicy
Total time: 40 minutes
I have never owned a deep-fat fryer and likely never will. I prefer the lower fat oven fries for 2 reasons: They're healthier and you can spice them up a bit!
Ingredients:
- 2 large potatoes or 4 small, 400gr, 14.1oz
- 1 tbs olive oil, 13.5gr, .48oz
- 1 tsp chili powder, 2.5gr, .09oz
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1.4gr, .05oz
- 1/4 tsp salt, 1.5gr, .05oz
- 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce, 32gr, 1.3oz
Instructions:
- Slice potatoes the long way - a large potato into 8 wedges and small ones into 6.
- Put remaining ingredients into a large bowl and mix well.
- Add potatoes and toss, coating thoroughly.
- Arrange potatoes on baking sheet with rim (I use my trusty, round pizza pan) Bake at 400F for 30 minutes. You can turn once if you like to fuss but I usually don't bother.
- When done remove from pan and serve. These will stay hot for awhile so a 5 or 10 minute delay is okay.
