Lemon Garlic Basmati Rice
Total time: 20 minutes or whatever your package says
A bit of garlic, lemon and thyme adds a subtle hint of flavor to the Basmati that works perfectly with grilled or braised meats.... Especially those with a hint of lemon...
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Basmati rice, 90gr, 3.2oz
- 1 clove garlic, 3gr, .1oz
- 2 tsp butter, 9.5gr, .34oz
- 1 cup chicken stock, 225gr, 8oz
- 1 tsp dried thyme, use 1 tbs fresh if you have it in your garden
- 1 tbs lemon juice, 15gr, .53oz
Instructions:
- Mince garlic.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté briefly, 1 - 2 minutes.
- Add rice and sauté, stirring for 2 - 3 minutes.
- Add stock, thyme and lemon juice. Cover and cook for length of time on package.
- When done fluff with a fork and serve.
